The exhibition displayed the most important sculptures produced during the middle of the Eighteenth century of the Doccia factory, shown along with works from the permanent collection of the museum and compared with the wax, clay and bronze works which served as complete or partial models for the porcelain.

This exhibition presented 21 video portraits made in occasion of the exhibition of “La fabbrica della bellezza. La manifattura Ginori e il suo popolo di statue”.
Using the faces of the “Richard Ginori people” and that of Lorenzo Ginori Lisci, direct descendant of Carlo Ginori, founder of the Doccia factory, these video portraits tell us about the competence and the pride of the workers who create exquisite porcelain objects for the factory in Sesto Fiorentino, in close connection with the objects preserved in the adjacent Museum of Doccia, closed since May of 2014.

Gio Ponti’s work from the Richard-Ginori factory is exhibited in Monza, where the production of the designer/architect was first shown to an international public in 1923. This exhibition wants to promote the exceptional collection of Gio Ponti’s ceramics from the Doccia Museum, closed to the public since May 2014.
Gio Ponti at Museo Marino Marini: an unusual correspondence

This exhibition presented a selection of about fifty pieces among those least known coming from the extensive collection of Gio Ponti ceramics in the Doccia Museum along with a group of around thirty letters written by the architect/designer most of which have never been published. The letters come from the Doccia archives and include sketches, drawings and instructions for their production. This exhibition was promoted by the Friends of Doccia in collaboration with the Richard Ginori Museum of the Doccia Factory and was sponsored by the Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze, with a contribution also by Richard-Ginori 1735.
